American Boat Carriers

We are a family-owned and operated business with almost 40 years experience in the transportation industry. In today’s world, freight moves faster and is more complex then ever. Fuel prices change daily, and often special equipment is necessary. We know that it is critical that you get a quick answer to your transportation needs. Our staff is trained to only quote with available equipment. You will find our level of service far superior to those who quote and cannot perform. We are proficient in all aspects of the transportation industry, but boats and yachts are our specialty.

Meet the Team

Teri Wolfe

Teri is the first person to greet you when calling American Boat Carriers. She has over 14 years experience in business management, and does an excellent job for us. With her friendly and knowledgeable outlook, when you call looking for information, Teri will get you pointed in the right direction.

Josh Allman

Owner Operator

Josh is the sole owner of American Boat Carriers LLC, and he is one of the youngest entrepreneurs in the boat transportation business. Don’t let his young age divert you though, at 24, he is going into his sixth year in the trucking business. He currently owns seven late model power units and seven 53’ trailers. Josh works closely with many of the largest boat manufacturers throughout the United States and Canada. If you are ever in need of a boat hauled, Josh is the guy to call.

Dean Allman

Well, of course, Dean is the guy that had something to do with Josh being in the trucking business in the first place.

Dean started his career with Weyerhaeuser Corporation in 1966 working in the sales department. By 1967, he had excelled to the number one salesman in the nation. Realizing Dean’s sales savvy, Wyco wanted to send Dean and his new wife, Kathy, off to Chicago, Illinois to run their customer service center. After much thought, however, they decided to move to Oregon instead where the land was beautiful, lumber was plentiful and there would be plenty of work. After a short while in Oregon, Dean knew that he wanted to truck lumber for a living. One thing led to another and Dean has been involved in the trucking business ever since. There are very few things that he has not hauled, but his favorite has always been boats, the bigger the better.

Kathy Allman

This is the gal that truly has the toughest job of all. You have all heard the term pulling rabbits out of a hat! Well that is what she does every day that she comes to work. To hear her tell it, the entire trucking industry is underpaid, overworked, overtaxed, and over-insured. As Kathy puts it, “God bless us all in the trucking industry as we move America’s products 24 hours a day, seven days a week!”

Kathy handles all of the accounts payable for not only American Boat Carriers, but also all the accounts payable for Pro-Line Logistics, her own freight brokerage company.

Deanna Jones

Deanna is also part of the family, and works here part-time. She handles the billing and helps Teri and Kathy with whatever needs to be done. We find her invaluable and would love to have her full-time; however she is busy being a wife and mother.

Dave Vaccher

One of our first sales brokers, Dave is knowledgeable about the business of transportation and the changing needs of today’s customer and trucker. His expertise is in freight of all kinds. He loads vans, reefers, step-decks, flatbeds, and hotshots. Whatever it is that you need moved- Dave will get it done.

Matt Vaccher

Keeping it in the family, Matt is the nephew of Dave and has excelled at his entry into the transportation business. Specializing in oversize, Matt is the go-to-guy for getting your freight to its destination at the right time, on the right equipment, and at the right rate.

Todd Bealer

Todd is a recent graduate of Southern Oregon University with a degree in Business Management. He is also specializing in over-dimensional freight, and has been very successful with a variety of shippers throughout the United States.

Our Mission Statement

To set the standard for excellence in international transportation through total commitment to quality in people and services.
